As the founder of Wagga Glass & Aluminium, Kevin Roben has had 36 years in the industry.
Established in 1982, Wagga Glass & Aluminium has grown in leaps and bounds from its humble beginnings in
a shed at the back of B & M Joinery to its current location at 11 Dobney Avenue in 1988.
Up until May 2007, glass continued to order in for cutting and installation. With the construction and
establishment of the Processing Plant, the range of services expanded. As well as offering toughened glass for
shopfronts, balustrades and a range of domestic situations, processing also incorporated automated glass
cutting lines, CNC shaping, grinding and polishing, mirror and glass bevelling, colour backed glass and
splashbacks.
Along with his son Grant Roben who now has over 10 years industry experience and a team of tradesmen
from Glaziers to Carpenters & Joiners and Aluminium Joiners, we have the expertise to produce almost any

We can replace all types of glass no matter what size, whether it be a small pane
of glass around your home to a large shopfront at your business. The majority of
repairs are able to be done on the spot with the exception of special types of
glass. If this is the case, we ensure that your home or business is secured while we
prepare the custom glass.
All of our Glaziers are trade qualified, meaning you can expect professional and

Water Jet
Our Water Jet can cut most materials accurately without the use of heat, which is
particularly important with brittle and lightweight materials.
Most materials can be cut to any shape. The water jet cutting does not damage
the surface finish. As cutting with water does not have the presence of heat, there
are virtually no limits to what can be cut, and all without fear of melting, distorting
or warping.
Repairs
Whether it be a torn fly screen, broken window latch or busted security lock, we
have the material and expertise to assist.

Custom Glass Laminating
Laminated Glass is two or more sheets of glass bonded together by a single or
multiple interlayer’s. The benefits of laminated glass are plentiful ranging from
strength and safety under impact, through to custom colors, custom designs and
energy
We offer laminated glass in a wide range of colors, thicknesses and sizes. We cut,
shape and drill laminated glass to your custom requirements.
We can laminate many of our glass types including combination’s of glass types
giving you the energy efficiency; glass performance and aesthetic that you need to
make your next project special. Triple laminated glass is also available and is often
used on stairs, Pool ends and Aquariums, glass facades, glass floors.
We are able to produce custom made laminated glass to any specification with
maximum dimensions up 1800 x 3000 using glass up to 19mm thick.

Sliding Windows
Easy to operate and timeless in design, Sliding Windows are an economical choice. Wide
panels with no external projections means they are ideal for high traffi c areas whilst
providing good ventilation. Mk7 Sliding Windows are available in various sized frames and
can seamlessly integrate with doors, awning and fixed windows. Insect screening is
included as a standard requirement.
The Mk7 combines the strength and substance of a 55mm aluminium frame system with
slimline mullion and transom profiles for maximised glass areas. Standard or lockable
sash hardware can be selected as can vent locking options to lock the window in the open

Sliding Windows
Proven performance and reliability - that’s what to look for in a sliding
window. Our Mk7 sliding window has both.
The MK7 combines the strength and substance of a 55mm aluminium
frame system with slimline mullion and transom profiles for maximised
glass areas. Standard or lockable sash hardware can be selected as can vent
locking options to lock the window in the open position if required.

We manufacture and install custom made Sliding Mirror and Melamine Wardrobe Doors
utilising award winning components to provide fit for purpose, low maintenance concealment
of bedroom wardrobe recesses, linen cupboards, laundry cupboards and storage shelving.
Our wardrobe system is available in 2, 3 or 4 door configurations and are made to glide with a
minimum of effort. One of many design features, the ‘V’ shaped bottom track prevents panels
from jumping off the track ensuring added safety and ease of use. The design versatility
continues with multi-tracks and multi panel sliding door options and sizings to suit up to 2.7
metres in height and up to 4.8 metres in width.
You can choose from either vinyl back mirror or a melamine finish in a wide range of colours

We manufacture and install custom made Sliding Mirror and Melamine Wardrobe Doors utilising
award winning components to provide fit for purpose, low maintenance concealment of
bedroom wardrobe recesses, linen cupboards, laundry cupboards and storage shelving.
Our wardrobe system is available in 2, 3 or 4 door configurations and are made to glide with a
minimum of effort. One of many design features, the ‘V’ shaped bottom track prevents panels
from jumping off the track ensuring added safety and ease of use. The design versatility
continues with multi-tracks and multi panel sliding door options and sizings to suit up to 2.7
metres in height and up to 4.8 metres in width.
You can choose from either vinyl back mirror or a melamine finish in a wide range of colours and
textures from the Polytec range.

Toughened (tempered) Glass
As Wagga Wagga’s only producer of toughened glass, we are the #1 choice when it comes to
supplying safety glass for domestic and commercial applications.
Toughened glass is one of two kinds of safety glass regularly used in applications in which
standard glass could pose a potential danger. Toughened glass is up to four to five times stronger
than standard glass and does not break into sharp shards when it fails.
Here at Wagga Glass we toughen by heating our glass to an extremely high temperature in our
furnace. It is then rapidly cooled which causes the outer surface of the glass to be compressed,
which in turn increases the tension internally. When the glass is broken, it shatters into small
uniform particles instead of dangerous shards, far less likely to cause injury.
Float Glass
Float is manufactured in either clear or toned (grey, bronze and green). It is available in a wide
range of sizes enabling designers and customers to fill large transparent openings economically.
It provides ease of cutting and it is ideal for further processing into a range of products available
for general glazing, laminating, toughening, high performance coating, mirrors and decorative
paint finishes.
Clear float provides high light transmission and visibility. It is suitable for conventional and double
glazed windows. When safety is required for doors and partitions, it is specified in toughened,
laminated or toughened laminate forms complying with the requirements of Building Codes and
Standards.
Toned float glass provides colour and energy management by reducing solar heat gain, while
retaining good daylight transmission and low reflectivity. It also provides reductions in UV. VFloat
toned is available in grey, bronze and green. It can be toughened, laminated or used as a
toughened laminate.
We stock clear float in thicknesses ranging from 2mm through to 15mm, whilst toned float is
available from 4mm through to 12mm.
Laminated Glass
Laminated glass consists of two or more sheets of glass bonded together by heat and pressure
with an interlayer of either PVB, EVA or a specialist high strength ionoplast interlayer. It is the
starting point when safety, security, noise and structural integrity are major considerations.
Laminated glass can resist penetration from accidental impact, provides resistance to penetration
from physical attack, provides good noise dampening over the same thickness of float glass,
eliminates 99% of ultraviolet radiation and can be manufactured with toned solar control glass
and interlayers providing glare and solar heat gain reductions

We stock a wide range of decorative glass including the Viridian DécorMirror™ range of products.
As a high specification mirror it incorporates outstanding protection of the reflective silver coating,
without the need for the copper layer used in conventional mirror processes. These mirrors offer
designers the ability to create emotive spaces using light and reflection with clear, tinted, safety
and satin mirrors are maunfactured to provide greater resistance to natural corrosion, helping to
minimise the unsightly problems of black edges and spot faults.
Also available are Viridian DécorMirror Safe™ and Viridian DécorMirror™ Laminate that comply
with AS/NZS2208 for Grade A safety glazing materials. DécorMirror Safe is available in two
different vinyl types, DécorMirror Safe™ SB and DécorMirror Safe™ WB. DécorMirror Safe™ SB is
backed with a smooth vinyl film, whereas DécorMirror Safe™ WB features a woven vinyl backing.
For observation areas, use Viridian DécorMirror™ Venetian where the coating is applied in stripes

ComfortPlus™
ComfortPlus™ has long been recognised as Australasia’s leading Low E performance laminate. ComfortPlus™ is a high performance glass solution that can be used to maximise a
buildings’ glazing potential by bringing in the outside world while complying with the Building Codes’ provisions for energy efficiency.
The ComfortPlus™ range of laminated glass has been developed to meet specifiers’ objectives of transparency and high performance solar control with low reflection. Equally, it
economically manages the heat of summer and the cold of winter. It incorporates a solar control component that in summer reduces the sun’s heating, glare and UV fading of
interior furnishings. In winter, the ComfortPlus™ coating provides thermal insulation and reduces heat loss through the glass by over 30% when compared to standard glass,
without heavy tinting or reflective mirror-like coatings that reduce natural light.
ComfortPlus™ is a laminated safety glass for use in windows and doors that form part of the building fabric, available in clear, neutral, grey, green or translucent, and is
manufactured with a permanent transparent coating which must be glazed to the inside of the building.

Cleaning Information
EnergyTech™ and SolTech™
The comprehensive range of Viridian EnergyTech™ and Viridian SolTech™ Low E products offer improved thermal insulation and a choice of solar control performance with low
visible light reflection. The range is designed for Australian climate regions and to help meet energy requirements.
The Viridian SolTech and EnergyTech range feature a pyrolytic Low Emissivity coating that is fused at extremely high temperature when the glass is being made, producing a
durable hard transparent coating on one surface of the glass. Unlike ordinary float glass, the Low E coating provides better insulation and enhanced solar control to help keep a
building warmer in winter and cooler in summer. The application of the SolTech and EnergyTech Low Emissivity coating to the glass improves their thermal insulation (U-Value) and
also further reduces the solar heat gain (SHGC) by inhibiting inward transmission of the solar energy absorbed by the glass, whilst still providing good daylighting performance.
The range also offers low internal and external visible reflectivity, typically desirable in residential buildings and commercial buildings when transparency is valued. If higher visible
light reflectivity is desired then the Viridian EVantage pyrolytic Low E products offers a range of choices.

EVantage™
Viridian EVantage™ is designed for buildings that require high level solar control and the insulating benefits of a Low E coating.
EVantage is an economical option for projects that require glazing alternatives better than standard glass and that in the past have had to specify top of the range high
performance insulating glass units and solar control laminates. EVantage is manufactured by the pyrolitic low E coating process. In this online chemical vapour deposition process,
a gas reacts with the semi molten surface of the float glass to form a reflective coating on clear and toned substrates.
The result is a product that combines solar and thermal performance, subtle reflectivity and glare control. The base colour of the glass whether clear, grey or bronze, Viridian

The Viridian SolTech and EnergyTech range feature a pyrolytic Low Emissivity coating that is fused at extremely high temperature
when the glass is being made, producing a durable hard transparent coating on one surface of the glass. Unlike ordinary float glass,
the Low E coating provides better insulation and enhanced solar control to help keep a building warmer in winter and cooler in

pyrolitic low E coating process. In this online chemical vapour deposition process, a gas reacts with the semi molten surface of the
float glass to form a reflective coating on clear and toned substrates.
The result is a product that combines solar and thermal performance, subtle reflectivity and glare control. The base colour of the
glass whether clear, grey or bronze, Viridian SuperGreen™ or Viridian SuperBlue™ is maintained with a significant boost to solar and
